Creative Youth Productions is having an open house on September 23rd, 2026 from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM.
Located at the United Congressional Church 2200 North Avenue Bridgeport.
We will discuss information regarding our Semester Performance, Registration for Classes, and the New Implemented Curriculum Program.
Refreshments will be provided.
Our Commitment
Every CYP production has been written and developed by our youth artists, shining a light on the real life obstacles that young leaders of our nation face on a daily basis.
Our youth are committed to strengthening community bonds and positively impacting lives, one production at a time!
Creative Youth Productions was featured in CT Post
"Amelia Burgos, a 14-year-old who is Dominican, said she understands what’s at stake for families living under the constant fear of deportation.
As a student performer with the nonprofit Creative Youth Productions, she will bring those real emotions to CYP's latest production, "Behind Closed Doors," which was inspired by a real deportation case in Bridgeport some years back. CYP staff have updated the original 2019 show's story, music and choreography to reflect today's immigration climate.
'I feel like it’s a very painful subject to talk about just because a lot of us sitting here are minorities,” Burgos said. “We have talked about these subjects before ... I remember when I first learned about it, I was scared because I didn’t want to lose any fraction of my family.'"
